03:53 PM EDT, 09/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory group formed under Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has voted to withdraw the agency's blanket recommendation for Covid-19 vaccines, Bloomberg reported Friday.
The panel advised that vaccination choices should be made through consultation between patients and healthcare providers, according to the report.
The members pointed to weak evidence on booster effectiveness and lingering safety questions as the basis for the shift, it added.
