11:47 AM EDT, 05/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cencora ( COR ) has sent letters to notify affected individuals their personal and medical information was stolen during a data breach and cyberattack earlier this year, TechCrunch reported Friday.

The data contains patient names, postal address, date of birth, health diagnosis and medications, the report quoted Cencora ( COR ) as saying in the letters.

The company reportedly said the data was initially collected through partnerships with drug manufacturers "in connection with its patient support programs."

"We are issuing notification to impacted individuals and working to ensure they have access to resources to help them protect their information," a Cencora ( COR ) spokesperson told MT Newswires. "The incident is fully contained and did not impact our operations."
