Market Chatter: Chevron Eyes New Agreement to Export Venezuelan Oil to Non-US Destinations
Feb 27, 2025 11:49 AM

02:23 PM EST, 02/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Chevron's ( CVX ) cancelled license to operate in Venezuela could result in a new agreement between the company and state-owned oil firm PDVSA to export crude to non-US destinations, Reuters reported Thursday, citing sources close to the talks.

President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he was reversing Chevron's ( CVX ) license to operate in Venezuela's oil sector, saying that President Nicolas Maduro was not making progress on electoral reforms and migrant returns.

Chevron ( CVX ) said it was considering the implications of Trump's decision, the report said. The company did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
