12:09 PM EDT, 05/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Chevron ( CVX ) is looking to explore and develop oil and gas opportunities in Indonesia that have large reserves, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing Djoko Siswanto, who is chairman of the country's upstream regulator SKK Migas.
The energy major is evaluating assets that may hold about 15 trillion cubic feet of gas, Djoko reportedly said.
Indonesia plans to offer new exploration blocks in Bali and other eastern regions to attract investors, according to the report.
Chevron ( CVX ) confirmed regular talks with SKK Migas but declined to share specifics, Reuters reported, citing a company spokesperson.
SKK Migas and Chevron ( CVX ) did not immediately respond to requests for a comment from MT Newswires.
