05:50 AM EDT, 04/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- China has set up a list of American-made imports exempt from 125% tariffs and begun notifying impacted companies, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.
The report said it was not clear how many and which products are on the list, which has not been made public.
One of the companies contacted is a drug firm selling US-made medicines, the report said.
Chinese authorities have reached out to textile and semiconductor companies and urged them to identify critical US imports for evaluation, the report said.
China's commerce and customs ministries could not be immediately reached for comment.
