06:32 AM EDT, 09/10/2024 (MT Newswires) -- A lawsuit claims that Trojan condoms made by Church & Dwight ( CHD ) contain hazardous chemicals, Reuters reported Monday, citing a court filing.
Plaintiff Mathew Goodman alleged that the Trojan Ultra Thin condoms he bought in New York contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, which have been linked to higher cholesterol, low birth weights, and cancer, Reuters reported.
The complaint seeks at least $5 million to be distributed to purchasers of Trojan condoms in the US, Reuters reported.
Church & Dwight ( CHD ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
