07:38 PM EDT, 08/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Citadel is requiring non-compete agreements of up to two years for investing staff, including some analysts, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The length of the non-compete is tied to employees' total compensation, with higher earners facing longer restrictions and a minimum one-year leave for analysts, the people said, according to the report.
The report said that analyst non-competes at many large hedge funds typically range from nine to 12 months, and that one unidentified hedge fund founder called Citadel's terms predatory.
