Market Chatter: Citigroup Managing Director Ali Syed to Join Lazard

02:46 PM EDT, 04/01/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Citigroup ( C ) Managing Director Ali Syed is joining Lazard ( LAZ ) to cover sovereign-wealth funds and pension funds in the Middle East, Asia and North America, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

Syed is due to join in the coming months and will work with Lazard Financial Advisory's chief executive for Middle East and North Africa, Wassim Al Khatib, as well as the division's chair Sarah Al Suhaimi, the report said.

Lazard ( LAZ ) and Citigroup ( C ) declined to comment to Bloomberg.

Neither companies immediately responded to requests for comment by MT Newswires.
