08:47 AM EDT, 03/13/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CME Group ( CME ) will file an application this year to clear US Treasuries, the Financial Times reported Tuesday, citing CME chief executive officer Terry Duffy.

Duffy said he expected other companies to apply to become Treasury clearers, the report said.

CME didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
