Market Chatter: Coca-Cola Revives Plan to Take African Bottling Unit Public

01:14 PM EDT, 04/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- The Coca-Cola Company ( KO ) is preparing to take public its African bottling business after pausing plans to do so in the past, Bloomberg reported Monday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.

The company is seeking a dual listing of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa in Johannesburg and Amsterdam as soon as next year with a valuation of more than $8 billion, the report said.

Coca-Cola declined comment to Bloomberg.

The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
