06:02 AM EST, 02/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Conduent ( CNDT ) is considering a sale after attracting acquisition interest, Reuters reported Friday citing people familiar with the matter.

The New Jersey-based outsourcing firm was spun out of Xerox (XRX) in 2016.

Conduent ( CNDT ) is working with a financial adviser on its talks with potential acquirers that include private equity firms, the sources said, adding that a deal could be signed in the coming weeks.

Conduent ( CNDT ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment on the matter.

The company's shares closed 12% higher on the news on Friday.
