Market Chatter: CrowdStrike Holdings Facing Potential Class Action for Disrupted Flights Due to Major IT Outage in July
Aug 6, 2024 3:34 AM

06:18 AM EDT, 08/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CrowdStrike Holdings ( CRWD ) is facing a proposed class action filed by three fliers whose flights were disrupted during the major IT outage last month, Reuters reported late Monday.

The proposed class action was filed with the US District Court of Western Texas, through which the plaintiffs accused the cybersecurity company of negligence in testing and deploying its software, the report said.

The plaintiffs are seeking compensatory and punitive damages from the company, the report added.

CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) plans to "vigorously" defend the company, saying the case "lacks merit," Reuters quoted the company as saying.

CrowdStrike ( CRWD ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
