10:14 AM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Darden Restaurants ( DRI ) has started testing smaller, lower-priced entrees at about 40% of Olive Garden ( DRI ) locations, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing CEO Rick Cardenas.

The lighter portions launched during the quarter are aimed at driving traffic, with early results "encouraging", Cardenas said on an earnings call, according to the report.
