Market Chatter: Dell CEO Says Companies Can't Dictate How Government Uses Their Technology
Mar 12, 2026 10:12 AM

12:34 PM EDT, 03/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Dell Technologies ( DELL ) Chief Executive Officer Michael Dell believe companies can't dictate how government agencies use their technology, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The executive was responding to a question in a Bloomberg Television interview about Anthropic's dispute with the US Defense Department over the use of its AI systems in surveillance or autonomous weapons, according to the report.

"I don't think a company can dictate to a sovereign government what it does with its tools. I just don't think that's workable model," Bloomberg quoted Dell as saying.
