09:13 AM EST, 11/19/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Diageo ( DEO ) and other alcohol makers, represented by industry groups, have asked the southern Indian state of Telangana to settle 29.85 billion rupees ($337 million) in late payments, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a letter from the groups.
The pending dues date back to May of last year, and any further delays in settling them risk supply shortages and threatens business continuity, according to the letter sent to the state's government on Nov. 12.
Diageo ( DEO ) did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
