06:35 AM EDT, 09/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- AT&T ( T ) and TPG's (TPG) DirecTV and Echostar's ( SATS ) Dish are in late-stage talks to merge, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter.

The sources said the parties are still discussing the terms of how the merger could be structured. DirecTV is in talks to control the combined company, according to the report.

An announcement could be made as soon as the coming days. However, while discussions are in the advanced stages, they could still be delayed or falter, the report said.

DirecTV and Dish did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
