12:44 PM EST, 11/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Walt Disney ( DIS ) has urged Alphabet's (GOOGL) YouTube TV to temporarily reinstate ABC broadcasts for the Nov. 4 Election Day amid an ongoing carriage dispute over distribution fees affecting millions of viewers, Bloomberg reported Monday.
Disney ( DIS )-owned networks, including ABC, ESPN ( DIS ), and FX, were pulled from YouTube TV on Oct. 31 after the companies failed to reach a new agreement on programming costs, according to the report.
YouTube said it would offer users a $20 monthly credit during the blackout, which could cause them to miss Monday Night Football and Election Day coverage if the dispute remains unresolved.
The standoff has intensified, with Disney ( DIS ) accusing YouTube TV of refusing to pay fair value for its content, while the Alphabet unit argues that Disney's ( DIS ) fee demands are excessive, Bloomberg added.
Walt Disney ( DIS ) and Alphabet did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
Shares of Walt Disney ( DIS ) were down 0.7% in recent trading, while Alphabet was up 0.3%.
