01:35 PM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ecolab ( ECL ) is nearing a deal to acquire CoolIT Systems from KKR (KKR) for $4.5 billion to $5 billion, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The deal for the data-center cooling company could be announced as soon as next week, the people said, according to the news outlet.

Ecolab ( ECL ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
