Market Chatter: Empire Expands Partnership With FoodHero Beyond Quebec

09:42 AM EDT, 07/16/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Empire Company (EMP-A.TO) is expanding its partnership with FoodHero, the Montreal-based app, to reduce food waste beyond Quebec, reports Canadian Press.

According to the report, the partnership is expanding to new regions, including Ontario, Atlantic Canada and Western Canada. The FoodHero app connects shoppers to stores offering 60% discounts in Quebec and 50% discounts in the rest of Canada.

The app launched in Quebec in 2019, and currently has 100,000 active customers at about 500 retailers in the province.
