Market Chatter: Eni Gets Approached by Suitors for Second Stake Sale in Enilive Unit
Sep 26, 2024 10:13 AM

12:57 PM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Eni (E) has been contacted by suitors for a potential sale of a second stake in its Enilive biofuel unit as the Italian company finalizes the details of a deal to sell an interest in the unit to US investment firm KKR (KKR), Reuters reported Thursday, citing two sources.

One of the suitors that approached Eni about the possibility of another Enilive stake sale was New York-based investment firm Stonepeak, according to the report.

Talks with KKR about a potential purchase of a stake in Enilive could have a successful conclusion in the next two or three weeks, Reuters reported, citing three sources, one of whom said KKR would likely buy a 20% interest in the unit.

Eni, KKR and Stonepeak didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
