02:44 PM EDT, 03/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Equinor ( EQNR ) does not have the extra capacity to boost its oil and gas production amid supply shortages from Middle East producers due to the Iran conflict, Reuters reported Thursday, citing the company's chief executive officer Anders Opedal.

"Our focus today is to make sure that we can be seen as a reliable provider of oil and gas to the markets we operate in and make sure we have the highest production possible, because it's really needed these days," Reuters quoted Opedal as saying.
