06:00 AM EDT, 08/01/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ericsson (ERIC) is in talks to invest hundreds of millions of dollars in Intel's ( INTC ) networking infrastructure business, Bloomberg reported late Thursday quoting people familiar with the matter.
The investment would give Ericsson a minority stake in the newly spun-off division called NEX, which has long supplied chips for Ericsson's radio access network hardware, the report added.
Intel ( INTC ) is also in discussions with other potential investors for stakes in the business that manufactures chips used in computer and telecommunications networks, Bloomberg noted.
However, no final agreement has been reached yet, and the deal may not materialize, the report added.
Intel ( INTC ) shares were down 1.4% in recent premarket activity.
Ericsson, Intel ( INTC ) didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
