07:38 AM EDT, 06/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Microsoft's ( MSFT ) investment into OpenAI is being eyed by European regulators suspicious the company uses its cloud technology dominance to stymie other competitors, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing unnamed sources.

Microsoft ( MSFT ) has invested $13 billion in OpenAI. The European Union's antitrust regulators seek to quiz rivals of the software firm over whether its exclusive arrangement with OpenAI may hinder competition, Bloomberg reported.

Microsoft ( MSFT ), OpenAI, and the European Commission did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
