01:09 PM EDT, 07/22/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) is in talks with the government of Trinidad and Tobago to explore oil and gas in up to seven deepwater blocks off the country's east coast, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The deepwater blocks are located north of the company's Stabroek block in Guyana, according to the news outlet.

Trinidad's Energy Minister Roodal Moonilal did not respond to Reuters' request for comment.

Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) did not immediately respond to an MT Newswires request for comment.
