05:56 AM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Exxon Mobil ( XOM ) , BP (BP) and Vitol are shipping a record volume of fuel to Australia in March, as supply disruptions linked to tensions around the Strait of Hormuz force a shift away from Asia, Reuters reported Thursday.
At least 200,000 metric tons of gasoline, diesel and jet fuel are being shipped from the US, the highest monthly level in over 30 years, the publication said, citing trade data from three sources and US Energy Information Administration records.
ExxonMobil ( XOM ) booked three tankers for up to 120,000 tons, BP chartered 40,000 tons of diesel, and Vitol is supplying 40,000 tons of gasoline, the report added.
Exxon Mobil ( XOM ), BP and Vitol did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
