06:54 AM EDT, 10/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford (F) is scheduled to recall as many as 625,000 vehicles in the United States due to defects involving seatbelts and rear-view camera displays, Reuters reported Friday quoting notices from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The report added that 332,778 Ford Mustang vehicles are being recalled over seatbelts while another 291,901 super duty trucks of various models are being pulled back due to camera display issues.
Reuters added that the US auto regulator said that Ford dealers will update the image processing module software at no cost to owners for the units being recalled to remedy the camera display defect.
It further noted that for the units facing issues with seatbelts, dealers will check the seatbelt parts and make replacements if needed, and also remove nearby carpet sections that touch the cables, Reuters noted, quoting the regulator.
Ford didn't immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
