07:28 AM EDT, 05/23/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Ford Motor ( F ) and Toyota Motor ( TM ) sent letters last month to the US divisions of its Japanese suppliers to seek their cooperation amid US tariffs, Reuters reported Friday, citing the letters.

The report did not disclose further details but said major automakers have offered "muted support" for their suppliers since the tariffs' announcement.

Ford and Toyota ( TM ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comments.
