09:48 AM EST, 11/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Freeport-McMoRan's ( FCX ) PT Freeport Indonesia unit expects to produce less copper cathode and gold in 2026 than targeted due to the recovery process following a mud flow that killed seven workers, Reuters reported Monday, citing Chief Executive Tony Wenas.

In September, PT Freeport Indonesia temporarily suspended mining operations at the Grasberg minerals district due to the accident.

Freeport-McMoRan ( FCX ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Shares of the mining company were up 1.4% in recent trading Monday.
