06:32 AM EDT, 06/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- GE Vernova ( GEV ) is considering selling its Proficy industrial software unit, which could be valued as high as $1 billion, Bloomberg News reported Saturday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The company has reportedly hired financial advisers and is in early talks with potential buyers, including public industrial software firms and private equity investors.

GE Vernova ( GEV ) may ultimately choose to retain the business, the news outlet quoted the sources as saying.

GE Vernova ( GEV ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of the company were up over 1.5% in recent Monday premarket activity.
