06:24 AM EDT, 09/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- General Mills ( GIS ) is in advanced discussions to sell its North American yogurt business, which includes the Yoplait brand, for more than $2 billion, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing unnamed people with knowledge of the matter.

The company is in discussion to sell the US and Canadian operations to French dairy companies Groupe Lactalis and Sodiaal, respectively, the sources said.

However, there is still no final decision yet as discussions are still ongoing, the report said.

General Mills ( GIS ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
