09:52 AM EDT, 08/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) is raising the bonuses for its top-performing employees, Reuters reported Thursday, citing an internal memo.

The automaker will reward the top 5% of its employees with 150% bonuses in a move to attract and retain talent, Reuters reported.

GM did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.

Shares of the company were down more than 3% in recent early trading.
