09:07 AM EDT, 08/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) is laying off over 1,000 salaried employees globally in its software and services division, CNBC reported Monday.

The layoffs include about 500 jobs at GM's tech campus near Detroit, CNBC reported, citing a statement from a company spokesperson.

GM did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
