03:47 PM EDT, 03/15/2024 (MT Newswires) -- James River Group's ( JRVR ) shares jumped more than 19% in recent Friday trading after it reportedly received an indicative all-stock acquisition offer from Global Indemnity ( GBLI ) for nearly $15 per share, Insurance Insider US reported, citing unnamed source.

James River's valuation under the offer stands at approximately $550 million, according to the report.

Neither James River nor Global Indemnity ( GBLI ) immediately responded to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
