12:35 PM EST, 11/27/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Global Payments ( GPN ) is exploring the sale of its payroll and Active Network businesses, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The payments company is working with advisers to evaluate potential buyers, though no decisions have been finalized, and the units may be retained, the report said. The valuation of the businesses in a potential sale remains uncertain, it added.

Global Payments ( GPN ) reportedly acquired Active Network for about $1.2 billion in 2017.

Global Payments ( GPN ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of the company rose nearly 1% in recent trading.
