12:54 PM EDT, 09/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- General Motors ( GM ) is in early talks to renew its longstanding joint venture with China's SAIC Motor, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The companies are working on the terms of the potential agreement, including which vehicle models and plants that would be involved, the report said.

GM did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
