07:41 AM EDT, 08/08/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Goldman Sachs Group ( GS ) has started allowing certain asset-management clients, including insurance companies, to invest alongside it when it loans money to private-credit funds and nonbank lenders like mortgage providers, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
It is the first such offering involving this type of loan by Goldman's asset-management arm, and it is part of a plan to roughly double its private-credit assets under management to $300 billion over the next five years, according to the report.
