09:25 AM EDT, 06/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Goldman Sachs Group ( GS ) is open to underwriting new deals for special-purpose acquisition companies after halting activity in 2022, Bloomberg reported Tuesday, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The investment bank plans to review each deal individually and may restrict which sponsors it partners with, the people reportedly said.
Goldman pulled back from the SPAC market in 2022 as regulatory scrutiny increased, Bloomberg reported. At the time, the lender stopped most of its involvement with SPACs it had previously taken public and ceased participating in new US listings, according to the report.
Goldman Sachs ( GS ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
