Market Chatter: Goldman Sachs Raises $21 Billion for Private Credit Fund

08:40 AM EDT, 05/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Goldman Sachs Group ( GS ) has raised $21 billion for the latest version of its private credit fund, Bloomberg reported Wednesday.

The investment bank recently closed the latest version of the direct-lending Loan Partners fund series which began in 2008, the report said, citing senior Goldman Sachs ( GS ) officials including Marc Nachmann and Greg Olafson.

The bank raised $13.1 billion of equity capital as well as long-term financing and funds from its own balance sheet, the report said.

Goldman Sachs ( GS ) did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
