03:15 PM EDT, 06/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG) Google ( GOOG ) searches are being replaced by chatbots, eliminating the need to click on blue links and causing referrals to news sites to drop, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday.

The report said Google's ( GOOG ) AI Overviews, which summarize search results, dented traffic to features like vacation guides and health tips, as well as to product review sites.

Traffic from organic search to HuffPost's desktop and mobile websites fell by just over half in the past three years, the report said, citing digital market data firm Similarweb.
