Market Chatter: Google Begins Testing Gemini App for Mac

04:13 PM EDT, 03/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) is accelerating development of a dedicated Gemini AI app for Apple's ( AAPL ) Mac computers, Bloomberg reported Thursday, citing product testers.

Google ( GOOG ) shared an early version of the app this week with participants in a consumer beta testing program, allowing the company to gather feedback from nonemployees, the report said.

The company is also testing a feature called Desktop Intelligence, which would let Gemini access data from other Mac applications, the report said.

Alphabet and Apple ( AAPL ) did not immediately respond to requests for comment by MT Newswires.
