Market Chatter: Google, TikTok Ban Done Global's Ads
Jun 28, 2024 4:18 AM

07:10 AM EDT, 06/28/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Google ( GOOG ) and TikTok have prohibited Done Global from advertising on their platforms until the telehealth company regains the required third-party certification, The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday.

The moves by the two tech companies came nearly two years after Done lost the certification it required to advertise on the online platforms, according to the report.

Done, which was advertising on the platforms as of mid-June, has spent about $20 million on Google ( GOOG ) ads and about $3 million on TikTok ads, according to documents viewed by the Journal.

The telehealth company is also advertising on Meta (META) platforms.

A spokesman for Meta told The Wall Street Journal that Done could continue to run ads that promote a service but not prescription drugs.

Done didn't respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
