11:24 AM EDT, 09/17/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) is setting up a data center in India's port city of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman at an event in the city.

A Google ( GOOG ) team met with Sitharaman in San Francisco in April or May to discuss site selection and setup, the report said.

Google ( GOOG ) and the finance ministry didn't immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
