12:40 PM EDT, 07/03/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) is taking steps to win favor with publishers after its AI-powered searches have impacted traffic sent to websites, The Information reported Thursday, citing two publishing executives.

Google's ( GOOG ) ad tech team is hiring new staff to market its ad technology to big advertisers and ad agencies in a bid to persuade them to buy space on publishers' sites, according to the report.

Google ( GOOG ) has also announced a new product called Offerwall, which helps publishers offer readers different ways of paying for content, including watching an ad before accessing an article, The Information said.

Google ( GOOG ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
