03:03 PM EDT, 04/24/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet (GOOG) and Jio Platforms-backed Android lockscreen platform Glance has launched a pilot program in the US in partnership with Verizon Communications ( VZ ) and Motorola Solutions ( MSI ) , TechCrunch reported Wednesday, citing sources.
Glance, a startup based in India, won't display ads on the lockscreen in the US, and intends to partner with additional telecom operators and brands like CNN and the National Basketball Association, sources told Techcrunch. The startup plans full launch later this year, the report said.
A spokesperson for Glance declined Techcrunch's request for comment.
Google ( GOOG ), Jio Platforms, Verizon, and Motorola didn't immediately respond to requests for comment by MT Newswires.
