05:37 PM EDT, 08/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Halliburton ( HAL ) was hit by a cyberattack on Wednesday that seemed to disrupt operations at the oilfield services firm's north Houston campus and some global connectivity networks, Reuters reported on the same day, citing a person familiar with the matter.

Halliburton ( HAL ) was looking into the issue affecting its systems to determine its cause and working with "leading external experts" to resolve it, a company spokesperson told Reuters in an emailed statement.

Halliburton ( HAL ) didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
