12:23 PM EST, 01/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Hewlett Packard Enterprise's ( HPE ) proposed $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks ( JNPR ) would hurt competition in the enterprise wireless equipment market, the US Department of Justice said in a lawsuit to block the deal, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

The acquisition would concentrate the market to two major players - Hewlett Packard ( HPE ) and Cisco Systems ( CSCO ) - if it proceeds, the Justice Department said in its compliant filed with a federal court in California.

Hewlett Packard ( HPE ) and Juniper did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
