Market Chatter: HF Sinclair Sues the Environmental Protection Agency for Delaying Biofuel Blending Decision

04:35 PM EDT, 07/24/2026 (MT Newswires) -- HF Sinclair ( DINO ) is suing the Environmental Protection Agency for delaying a decision on exemptions from mandates requiring refiners to blend renewable fuels into gasoline and diesel, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing a lawsuit the company filed Friday.

The lawsuit said compliance credits refiners use to meet federal fuel blending obligations expire Sept. 1, and a court previously recognized that "the clock is ticking" for petitioners to obtain relief, according to the report.

HF Sinclair ( DINO ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment by MT Newswires.
