06:17 AM EDT, 04/17/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) will close at least one of its Chinese car production plants jointly run with Guangzhou Automobile Group in June, Reuters reported Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The Japanese automaker is also evaluating the suspension of its plant jointly owned with Dongfeng Motor next year, the report said.

Honda ( HMC ) and Guangzhou Automobile did not immediately respond to requests for comment from MT Newswires.
