12:37 PM EDT, 09/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Honda Motor ( HMC ) is ceasing US production of its Acura ZDX electric crossover that is being assembled by General Motors ( GM ) , CNBC reported Wednesday.
Production of the Acura 2026 model was scheduled to begin this month at a General Motors ( GM ) plant in Tennessee, but Honda ( HMC ) decided to "cancel all future production," the report said, citing a message to workers at General Motors' ( GM ) Spring Hill Assembly plant.
A Honda ( HMC ) spokeswoman confirmed the decision, citing electric vehicle market conditions, according to the report.
Honda ( HMC ) said production of Prologue, which is also assembled by General Motors ( GM ), will continue in Mexico, the report said.
Both Honda ( HMC ) and General Motors ( GM ) didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
