03:10 PM EDT, 07/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Huawei's Noah Ark Lab division rejected claims that a version of its Pangu Pro large language model copied elements from an Alibaba ( BABA ) model, Reuters reported Monday.

The division said its model was independently developed and trained, the report said. The statement came after a posting on Github alleged that the model showed "extraordinary correlation" with Alibaba's ( BABA ) Qwen 2.5 14B.

Alibaba ( BABA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
